Wild Cherry bark is known as the "American Indian version of Hawthorn". Wild cherry bark is used for dry irritated or nervous coughs, colds, whooping cough, and bronchitis. Some herbs to combine with wild cherry bark include osha, marshmallow, valerian, and fennel. Some ways to prepare wild cherry bark include a decoction, syrup, tincture, or extract.

 

Contraindications: Not recommended while pregnant, avoid use in acute infections. This plant can cause drowsiness. Wild Cherry bark is contraindicated in depressed conditions of the lungs, as it is a relaxing remedy.
